Allied Bank Limited (ABL) visited the Lahore Univeristy of Management and Sciences (LUMS) on March 15, 2017. The delegation was made of the following personnel from ABL, Mr. Mujahid Ali, Chief Service Excellence Group; Mr. Shahid Amir, Chief Commercial and Retail Banking Group North; Mr. Abid Anwar, Group Head Commercial and Retail Banking Group North 1; Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, Regional Head Commercial and Retail Banking Group and Ms. Ayesha Omer Hayat, Branch Manager Phase IV.
ABL has generously donated PKR 30 Million to the National Management Foundation for naming the newly built Male Hostel 7. This donation will help LUMS provide a world-class living facility to LUMS Students.
Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi thanked the delegates for their support in providing to LUMS. He also added that ABL has always helped LUMS and would like to continue and strengthen our ties with the bank in every aspect. In response, Mr. Mujahid Ali showed his interest. Mr. Mujahid also commended LUMS for producing quality graduates that make a positive impact on the society; the key to LUMS’ success is that there is no compromise in merit and quality.
Afterwards, the delegation took a tour of LUMS campus and saw the male hostel, which will be associated with ABL and also visited the auditorium at the Suleman Dawood School of Business, also associated with the bank. After their tour, the delegation showed interest to fund LUMS in the coming years.
