Women in Business student society at LUMS (WIB LUMS) was officially inaugurated in a virtual event attended by patrons Dr. Alnoor Bhimani, Honorary Dean SDSB, and Dr. Ghazal Mir Zulfiqar, Associate Professor and PhD Programme Director at SDSB. The event was also attended by Ms. Sadia Khan, Commissioner Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Ms. Roshaneh Zafar, Managing Director Kashf Foundation & Kashf Microfinance Bank (Finca). The event was attended by students and faculty from LUMS and other institutes.
Speaking at the occasion, Ms. Sadia Khan pointed out the significance of networking and mentorship to enhance professional development and encourage entrepreneurship among young women. Ms. Roeshaneh Zafar discussed the importance of creating leadership roles for women, and increasing female representation at decision making levels in the workplace and beyond.
