LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) team conducted its visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) between September 26 and October 1, 2016. Its representatives visited Model Science College for Girls and Boys, Punjab College for Boys and Girls, and Government Postgraduate College in Rawalakot, imparting the message of NOP to approximately 455 students.
The NOP team then visited Muzaffarabad to give presentation about NOP to Model Science College for Boys and Girls and Read Foundation College for Girls, where information was disseminated to around 1000 students. Other cities that were visited included Bagh, Mirpur, Kotli and Barnala where more than 640 students were communicated about the scholarship.
Students showed an avid interest in knowing about the educational qualifications and the extracurricular activities being offered at LUMS. Each presentation was followed by a question and answer session in which the prospective students enthusiastically participated.
A total of 6 cities and 17 colleges were visited in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir outreach. The message of NOP was spread to at least 2100 students in these schools and colleges.
