Warid Holds Session on Corporate Ethics and Grooming at LUMS

Career Services Office (CSO) in collaboration with Warid organised a grooming session on ‘Corporate Ethics and Grooming for Success - Campus to Corporate’ on September 30, 2016 at LUMS. The session started off with Ms. Wajeeha Mohsin, Assistant Manager Culture and Leadership introducing herself and her colleague Mr. Asim Pasha, Senior Manager Organisational Development.

Ms. Mohsin discussed the importance of personal hygiene and the appropriate dress code to be followed based on an organisation’s culture. She further explained the basic protocol to be followed in the corporate sector including punctuality, honesty and being courteous towards colleagues and peers.

Mr. Asim then took the floor and talked about corporate meeting etiquettes that need to be followed. He said it is very essential to be prepared before the meeting, pay attention to the speaker and the need to handle disagreements tactfully. He also spoke about the importance of cubical etiquettes and the strict compliance to corporate governance including code of conduct and data confidentiality.

Ms. Mohsin also discussed the communication protocol to be followed for both written and verbal form of communication in a corporate setup.

The students appreciated the session and participated by raising questions, which were answered thoroughly by them.
