The LUMS Centre for Advanced Studies in Mathematics (CASM) invited Turkish Mathematician, Dr. Mahpeyker Ozturk from Sakarya University, Turkey for a 5 day visit to LUMS. The purpose of her visit was to conduct seminars at the National Workshop on Applied Nonlinear Analyses organised by CASM and to explore collaborations in research with faculty at the LUMS Mathematics department.
Dr. Mahpeyker is already working with Dr. Mujahid Abbas and his research group. The group has also published a paper. During her meeting with MS and PhD students, she briefed them about the research activity at the Department of Mathematics at Sakarya University. Dr. Mahpeyker discussed her interest in the various groups in Mathematics and particularly in Pure Mathematics and the PhD programme in detail.
