Iqra Nadeem (LUMS graduate, 2016) has received an offer from MIT to attend the institute's Technology & Policy Programme (TPP) starting this fall. Iqra completed a minor in Biology along with her Physics major, and conducted independent research with the Technology for People Initiative (TPI) in the Computer Science department after graduating.
Iqra also received funded admissions to the prestigious Oxford and Columbia universities. Furthermore, she secured both the Fulbright and Commonwealth scholarships.
Iqra chose to join MIT in the fall, and she hopes to work towards biomedical health policy and promoting the use of technology in the sphere of public health. Iqra expressed her gratitude to Technology for People Initiative at LUMS and emphasised its role in her achievements:
“Technology for People Initiative gave me a platform to mould all my academic and non-academic experiences into a meaningful whole under the guidance of faculty members who lent extraordinary support at each step.”
