SDSB Dean Participates in the NBEAC 4th Deans & Directors Conference

The Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) got the highest votes and won the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) competition for success stories of indigenisation in business schools in Pakistan. The competition was a part of the 4th Deans & Directors Conference organised by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), established by Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The Dean SDSB, Dr. Jawad Syed represented LUMS at the conference. Dr. Syed was also one of the resource speakers during the session on indigenisation in business schools in Pakistan.

LUMS took the highest votes in the competition and the NBEAC representatives appreciated the University’s interest in the well-being of business education in the country. They further commented that the suggestions provided will guide them to proceed more precisely for the betterment of this area. “We believe that the knowledge you shared will help immensely in the development of Business Schools and eventually translate into better programmes that will help business schools in Pakistan," said the NBEAC representatives.

Besides participating in the conference session, Dr. Syed also took part in the workshop titled 'Refining your peer review skills.' He was requested to attend the workshop so that an international peer reviewer could be added to the NBEAC pool. The workshop highlighted the philosophy, purpose and norms of NBEAC accreditation and elaborated the process details and clear responsibilities of peer reviewers.
