REDC Launches Programme for Fashion Goods Retail Industry

Smart retail management has become the key to competitive advantage these days. The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) launched a new 4-day programme on Retail Management in Fashion Goods. The programme was conducted from April 11 – 14, 2017. The new open enrollment programme was directed by Arif I. Rana and Shakeel Sadiq Jajja and joined in teaching by Mohsin Nasir Jut, Muhammad Adeel Zaffar and Adnan Zahid. The programme addressed key challenges and opportunities emerging in the very vibrant retail landscape of the country. It is said that the urban retail space is compounding on an annual basis and this presents growth as well as sustainability challenges for established and emerging fashion brands.

The programme explored the developments reshaping modern retail landscape as well as evaluating strategic and operative choices available to businesses looking for advancements in scale and efficiencies. Relevant areas related to retail analytics, merchandising, alternate channels for retailing, building information systems, forecasting, supply chain and branding were addressed in the programme. It presented a unique opportunity for growing businesses to invest in talent development of their managers. The participating brands included Bonanza, Ehsan Chappal, Maria B, Royal Tag, Sefam, Warda and Zeen Women, to name a few.
