Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) marked the beginning of its fourth session of Executive Certificate in Agribusiness Management (ECAM) - a programme offered by Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in collaboration with Nestle Pakistan and supported by The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Tetra Pak Pakistan. The orientation session began on Friday, April 7, 2017.
Pakistan’s agribusiness landscape is evolving from fragmented and informal setups into integrated and structured agribusiness systems. The session offered the modules on agribusiness value chain and Technology (Syed Zahoor Hassan), Marketing and Branding (Adnan Zahid and Muhammad Luqman Awan) and Human Resource Management (Muhammad Abdur Rahman Malik). The curriculum, on one hand, explored how agricultural transformations in the globalising marketplace are creating new challenges and on the other, bringing forth new opportunities and how those involved can engage more with value chain actors in order to develop new products and reach new markets. Speaker sessions with Mansoor Nawaz, Director Marketing, Haleeb Foods Ltd. and Fawad Shah, President & CEO, Minnesota Crop Improvement Association were also part of the event.
