LUMS alumni based in Lahore had an exciting day on Saturday, February 25, 2017, when the first gathering of the Lahore Alumni Chapter was held. This Lahore chapter was initiated by Mr. Hissan ur Rehman, BSc 2007, when he realised that despite having the LUMS campus situated in the city, the Lahore alumni lacked platforms through which they could engage and socialise.
The event opened with introductions of the alumni present, so they could reacquaint themselves with the familiar faces around and befriend the new ones. This was followed by a delightful musical performance by Hamza Janjua, a LUMS student, who entertained the crowd with his melodious voice and acoustic guitar. A get-together in Lahore is never complete without food, and this event was no exception. The alumni and volunteers then snacked on delicious samosas and hot tea, as they mingled amongst each other and reminisced about their time at LUMS.
The Lahore Alumni Chapter was established to fulfill the need of the hour, which was to provide alumni based in Lahore with opportunities to engage, especially over various activities. In light of this, future gatherings of the Lahore alumni community are sure to be adventurous ones, involving plenty of exciting activities.
