Led by the spirit of giving back to their alma mater and contributing towards the betterment of the community at large, graduates of the LUMS Executive MBA Class of 2014 took the initiative of establishing a Scholarship Fund to provide need-based scholarships to brilliant but needy scholars inducted at LUMS.
The EMBA Class of 2014 signed an MOU with LUMS on June 21, 2017, committing an annual contribution of PKR 600,000, providing adequate financing to cater to study related expenses of an undergraduate scholar.
Present at the ceremony were the Vice Chancellor LUMS, Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi, Mr. Ali Safdar Raja, Head of Development at LUMS, Ms. Mubashara Raza, focal person EMBA 2014 Scholarship Fund and other graduates of the class including Mr. Ammar Haider, Mr. Kashif Naveed and Mr. Usman Hanif.
Dr. Naqvi congratulated the representatives of EMBA Class of 2014 for this noble initiative and expressed his views about how this commitment will prove phenomenal in turning around the lives of brilliant individuals who otherwise would not have had the means to study in a world-class institute such as LUMS.
