Nadira Hassan Law Department was honoured to host Professors Sikander Ahmad Shah and Uzair Kayani from the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan Law School at LUMS, on 15th May 2019 at Kinnaird. Together, they delivered a lecture on Business Human Rights and International law.
Professor Shah examined the scope and applicabilty of International Law in Pakistan, along with the status of and nexus between Human Rights and Business therein. Students of NHLD were engaged in an interactive session with both professors, during the Q&A session. They were deeply interested about how to best realize business human rights within Pakistan.
Professor Uzair Kayani further enlightened our students with his knowledge of law and economics; he also discussed the prospects of internships which would enhance professional development and also promote a deeper understanding of business human rights.
