1st LUMS International Moot Court Competition Held at SAHSOL

The Law and Politics Society held the 1st HBL LUMS International Moot Court Competition in collaboration with the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law from April 5-8, 2018.

Fourteen teams from across the globe competed fiercely to qualify for the finals, where eventually the teams of Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore and the Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal went head to head. Judged by three former Supreme Court judges, Justice Sair Ali, Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday and Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja in the Asifa Irfan Moot Court Room of the LUMS School of Law, the students from Kinnaird College for Women University emerged victorious, and also bagged the best oralist and best memorial applicant awards. The team from Kathmandu School of Law won the best memorial respondent award.

Made possible through the generous support of our sponsor HBL, and covered by our official media partner Nai Baat Media Network, the 1st International Moot Court Competition carried on the legacy set by the past councils and presidents of the Law and Politics Society and was able to organise the first international mooting competition of its kind in Pakistan.
