The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), established in Lahore in 1986, is one of the premier educational institutions in Pakistan. The Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), which houses the Department of Mathematics, was established in 2000 with a view to impart education of the highest quality and also foster interdisciplinary research and collaboration between natural sciences, computer science, and engineering programs. Other departments in SBASSE include Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Electrical Engineering.
Although a number of faculty positions exist for outstanding individuals in all SBASSE departments, the Department of Mathematics seeks to hire full time Assistant, Associate and Full Professors on tenure-track or as tenured faculty members in all fields of mathematics and statistics beginning August, 2015. All Applicants must possess Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics. Experience of teaching at the university level and a strong publication record is required for the associate and full professor positions. In particular, the Department encourages applicants whose research and teaching cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. Applicants should be active researchers with a commitment to creative and effective undergraduate teaching and mentoring within their specialties.
