Ali Usman Qasmi, Assistant Professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, recently published a co-edited volume titled Muslims against the Muslim League: Critiques of the Idea of Pakistan (Cambridge University Press, 2017). His co-editor is Megan Eaton Robb (Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies). According to the publisher, by “[f]ocusing on the critiques of the Muslim League, its concept of the Muslim nation, and the political settlement demanded on its behalf, [the book] studies how the movement for Pakistan inspired a contentious, influential conversation on the definition of the Muslim nation.”
